The 42nd Annual Hispanic Festival will take place next month on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 9-11, involving more than 25,000 attendees with an array of free entertainment from the Calder Plaza stage. Plan to enjoy Latin American cuisine after work on Friday along with shopping and stage entertainment!
The event, benefiting the Hispanic Center of Western Michigan, will showcase the music and food of Latin American culture! Festival hours are as follows:
Friday, August 9 – 5 pm-12 am; beverage service/entertainment ends 11:30 pm Saturday, August 10 – 12 pm-12 am; beverage service/entertainment ends 11:30 pm Sunday, August 11 — 12-5:30 pm; beverage service/entertainment ends 5 pm
The Grand Rapids Police Department and Diversified Security will be staffing the event to coordinate public safety. JJ Sounds will be handling sound needs for all Calder Plaza stage entertainment. Recycling and trash efforts will be coordinated by the City of Grand Rapids Public Services department.
