Florida restaurant says “Face Diapers not required” and sign goes viral on social media.

A restaurant in Florida went viral after sharing a photo of their sign that reads “FACE DIAPERS NOT REQUIRED! EVERYONE WELCOME.”

Beckyjack’s Food Shack in Hernando County, Florida, posted the picture on Facebook for Valentine’s Day with the caption “Happy Valentine’s Day,” and a heart emoji. “A friendly reminder that we DO NOT require Face Masks.”

Since sharing the photo, the post has gained over 3,000 reactions and comments.

Owner Jesse Fox said they had initially posted the sign because they were getting a lot of people coming in who were “surprised we weren’t wearing masks.”

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website, it leaves the decision about restaurant mask rules to local governments. In Hernando County, Florida Gov. Ron Desantis’ executive order does not mandate the use of masks.

The CDC says their considerations for restaurant and bar owners are meant to supplement and not replace any state, local, territorial or tribal health and safety laws, rules, and regulations with which businesses must comply.
