Michiganders have until Friday at 5 p.m. to request an absentee ballot by mail in Michigan.
Those who want to vote early in-person can do so if you are already registered up until 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2.
All you have to do is go to your local clerk’s office to request and obtain an absentee ballot. You can then vote the ballot in the office and you cannot leave the office with the ballot.
For those who are registering to vote for the first time or updating your registration address, you can obtain an absentee ballot until 8 p.m. on election day at your local clerk’s office. Those in line by 8 p.m. must be allowed to register and vote absentee.
The Michigan Secretary of State’s Office said the application for the ballot must reach your local clerk no later than 5 p.m. on the Friday before elections.
