Hola Amigos de Metro Detroit y el resto de Michigan. Mi nombre es Liliana, soy latina, periodista y mamá. He vivido en Michigan por 12 años y durante todo este tiempo he observado que las publicaciones para Latinos en Metro Detroit y algunas partes de Michigan ofrecen más cupones y publicidad que información a nuestra comunidad.

Who is Liliana Ospina?

Liliana Ospina is the founder of Latinos En Michigan TV. She is a Colombian immigrant who has been living in Michigan for over 12 years. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Social Communications and Journalism from the University of La Sabana in Colombia (An accredited University through the Opus Dei, an international Catholic institution, supported throughout universities in the United States of America, Europe and South America).

She is a bilingual professional who has over 15 years of experience in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, and Marketing. She began her career in CityTV, a news and entertainment TV channel in Bogota-Colombia, after that she worked as a TV production assistant for an independent TV production company, later she became a press secretary for a Senator and a House Representative at the Colombian Congress, where she had the opportunity of develop local and national public relations and communications campaigns for her clients.

In the United States, Liliana has worked in different companies and sectors such as GlobalHue, the largest minority own advertising company, a nonprofit organization called Domestic and Sexual Abuse Services in St Joseph County, Kellogg's Corporation in Calhoun County, El Vocero Hispano Newspaper in Grand Rapids and most recently in her personal project called Latinos En Michigan TV. Liliana Ospina also has an acute knowledge of the Spanish language, which allows her to translate, proofread, and edit copy of different articles, speeches or any documents that have been translated from English to Spanish. She has been a freelance copy editor for the Spanish edition of Plastic News about Plastimagen 2016 and 2017, the most important plastics industry conference in Latin America.
